Radio Enfield is Chase Farm Hospitals very own closed circuit radio station, providing entertainment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Patients at Chase Farm can listen to the station over the Patientline system, and request records and dedications by phone on external 020 8363 6000 or 800 on the Patientline handset which is a free phone line, by email or via one of our request collectors see our Request page, who visit different wards every day. On this page you can find out more about Radio Enfield Hospital Broadcasting, and read about some of our history. Whilst request programmes form the majority of our output, there are many other features that you will find if you listen to Radio Enfield. Outside broadcasts from many local events keep you in touch with whats going on around Enfield Town. Local information, guests from the community and phonein competitions add flavour to our many request programmes. We hope you will like what you hear but please let us know we love to hear from our listeners. The service is owned and operated by volunteers in their spare time and financed by various fund raising activities and from donations. Running a self contained broadcasting service involves many expenses and it is an increasingly costly affair. Fortunately, we have made many good friends over the years, who have generously ensured that our funds have been adequate. However, if you wish to help Radio Enfield financially then you can send us a donation via our own donation page. Many local groups, in particular the League of Friends, have been of considerable help and given encouragement along with the hospital authorities, engineers and Patientline staff who are most sympathetic when dealing with our problems. A lot of work behind the scenes takes place to bring the programmes to the wards. Programme presentation is the end result of a long process involving request collecting, record indexing, engineering, letter writing, telephone answering and even more obscure tasks such as building walls, carpet laying and setting up Outside broadcasts in the rain
