Services are running smoothly following a technical issue that affected the Oyster card computer system on Saturday 12 July. Around one per cent of the six million Oyster cards in regular use required replacement following the incident. Passengers affected have been allowed to travel until they are able to obtain a replacement card. We advise those passengers who have not yet replaced their cards to go to their nearest Tube station ticket office. All passengers who incurred a maximum fare on Saturday 12 July will be given an automatic refund. They do not need to take any action to obtain this refund. Around 2,000 Freedom Passes may not be working and we advise those pass holders affected to apply for replacement cards through their local authority.
