The Tower Project is a local voluntary sector organisation providing a range of services to children, young people and adults with disabilities who are resident within the London borough of Tower Hamlets, Corporation of London and surrounding London boroughs. The project was established in 1982 and from its small beginnings has developed into a large registered charity that provides services on a number of fully accessible sites. Providing Youth and leisure services, day services, education and training projects, employment services, advocacy services, holiday and afterschool clubs the project works with many local and national partners in the delivery of its services. The Tower Project provide a range of services to specific groups within the community most notably Learning disabled, physically disabled, Autistic, Deafhearing impaired, BlindVisually impaired, DeafBlind. The Tower Project is a local community organisation that is managed by its membership which is entirely made up from members of the community who access its services. The management committee is entirely formed from the membership of the organisation and all decisions are made by the committee in consultation with the wider membership.
